The ​​International Teleco​mmunication Union (ITU) is organizing the ITU Regional Radiocommunication Seminar 2024 for ​Asia and the Pacific (RRS-24-Asia&Pacific)​, kindly hosted by the Samoa’s Office of the Regulator​, in cooperation with Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) and the Pacific Islands Telecommunication Association (PITA), sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology​ (MIIT) of China.​

As always the ITU RRS continue globally to focus on equipping participants with a comprehensive understanding of spectrum management at both national and international levels, emphasizing the crucial role of ITU Radio Regulations and the associated procedural frameworks. Attendees will explore the latest developments and best practices in frequency management, particularly concerning the use of spectrum for terrestrial and space services. Practical training on ITU’s ICT tools and software for frequency notifications and technical examinations will be provided, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience. Additionally, the event will offer insights into emerging radiocommunication trends, with a special focus on opportunities and challenges specific to the Asia-Pacific region
