Internet Network engineers get their Certificates

Jubilant after a week long hands on workshops and conference at PacNOG 31, the 57 internet network engineers and administrators then convened in the closing ceremony to receive their Certificates of Participation. In addition to Vanuatu, network players came also from the Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu and Samoa

PacNOG 31 was held in Port Vila at the University of the South Pacific (USP) Emalus Campus, from 26 June to 01 July 2023 as the continuation of the capacity building program for Pacific Network Operators. PacNOG events are held twice a year and rotated around the Pacific Islands. The event constitutes of 1-day educational conferences and 4 days training, target audience are the internet networking engineering and administrator personnel in the Pacific with select topics and workshops that are prioritised by the network operators group for conference and training.

It was intense learning for the 4 days workshops, with 1 additional day conference of select internet network topics including exchange of network operations amongst the participants. Further networking continued in a more relaxed atmosphere and fun at the evening social events, thanks to the excellent host , the OGCIO and all the sponsors who made the PacNOG 31 in Port Vila possible and memorable.

The next PacNOG 32 will be held in Tonga on 27 Nov to 01 Dec, 2023
